| My Bird bath at dawn |
So it's a good time to think of a birdbath for your feathered friends not only will you make summer bearable for the birdies but you won't believe the pleasure it will bring to you and your family.
One the main considerations when you plan a birdbath is the safety of the birds
Your birdbath need to be placed where it is safe from cats I have one of mine beside a small bush but almost under a tree where there is a clear view all around.
It should be out of direct sunlight as the shallow water will get way to hot.
The water should be shallow with something like a stick or rock placed in the water for them to get a grip on if they should get into trouble.
And last but not least it needs to be scrubbed out often so as not to spread disease.
