More uses for the bird bath

This is my fav bird bath

Isn't it sweet.
Birds aren't the only ones to use bird baths. Hornets, wasps,  bees and dragonfly's to name but a few need a supply of clean water for nest building as well as a place to lay eggs.
.
Our Peewees love walking  along our veranda and to blatantly pinch the dog biscuits , then proceed to dunk them in the water to soften before feeding them to their chicks, not sure how good this would be for the babies but what can you do??
Also Pewee's or Mudlarks need water to build their nest which is made from mud and  grasses for this they really need a puddle of mud but in  these days of water restrictions we can't really leave a tap dripping so a bird bath is a great replacement.
Mud Dauber Wasps need water to build their mud nests and Dragonfly's sometimes lay their eggs ín birdbaths.
Last but not least a bird bath can be an attractive feature and needn't cost a great deal.
